Monday December 18 and Tuesday December 19, 2017 at 6:30PM
Thanksgiving has just passed and Christmas is coming quickly. With the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, plan on joining me for a Christmas Dinner Class on either Monday December 18 or Tuesday December 19. This class will feature two recipes from my soon to be published cookbook. In celebration of the upcoming book, all of the recipes for this class will have an Italian flair.
We are going to start with an elegant appetizer – Grilled Shrimp wrapped in Prosciutto with a Marsala glaze. Featuring two quintessential Italian ingredients, this flavor combination is a wonderful way to start the evening. Panzanella Salad includes these and other vegetables from the market.
The entree is a recipe I found a number of years back and it is included in the upcoming cookbook, Step by Step Italian: Recipes from CC’s Cooking Classes. Arista Alla Florentina is a whole bone-in pork loin rubbed with a garlic/herb mixture and roasted to perfection. We will make a fig sauce to go over the dish combining some classic Tuscan flavors.
To complement the Arista, we will make Tuscan Green Beans. These beans include a “surprise” ingredient along with fresh herbs. This recipe is also included in the cookbook.
For dessert we will make a classic Italian dessert – Tiramisu. From the coffee soaked ladyfinger cookies to the smooth, whipped marscapone cheese this elegant layered dessert is sure to delight. From many of the different Italian desserts, Tiramisu continues to be the most popular.
So, join me as we celebrate the Christmas Season with an Italian Twist.
