I have really enjoyed teaching classes with The Wine Cellar in the past. I am very excited to be invited back to teach this class on Thursday July 2th. We are going to enjoy more that summer has to offer, and what’s better than that? Well, The Wine Cellar is pairing wines to go with everything and they will be pouring tastes of these wines to go with the courses! You don’t want to miss this opportunity! 

We’re going to start with a salsa, but this one will star watermelon and peaches! We’ll be enjoying this with chips, so think of a summer chips and salsa. We’ll follow this with a classic Italian salad. What’s better than fresh tomatoes with mozzarella and basil? Well, not much – so it seems Caprese Salad is a must for this class.

Next up we will make a traditional Basil Pesto. We’ll sample it out on some bread. But then we’ll use the pesto to make stuffed chicken breasts – they are stuffed with pesto, sundried tomatoes, prosciutto and pine nuts. This is one of the most requested dishes from my daughter (along with seafood pasta and Florentine balsamic chicken…. )

For dessert we will head back to enjoy fresh Peach ice Cream. Huntsville is blessed with a number of fantastic orchards and Peaches will be in full swing in late July. So, let’s put together two summer favorites – Ice Cream and Peaches.
