The days are starting to cool, the leaves are starting to turn – fall is in the air! Join me for a fall menu in this cooking class.

We will start with a nice appetizer made with bacon, leeks and cheddar cheese. Mix this together in a puff pastry crust and you have got one fabulous way to start an evening.

For the main dish, we will marinate some flank steak, indoor grill it and make a red wine sauce to go with it. More great flavors for our fall class.

If there is a fruit of fall, it would be apples. We will make an apple cole slaw as a side with our steak. For dessert, we will make a classic french treatment of the apple – Tarte Tatin. If you aren’t familiar with this dessert, think of it as an upside down apple pie. We start by caramelizing apples in a fry pan. We will make a short pastry crust, lay it on top of the apples and bake it in the oven until the crust is “golden brown and delicious.” After we take it out of the oven, we flip it over and voila – apple heaven!

You won’t want to miss this great class!
