Join me as well as Kayla and the Eiltaire staff as we take a culinary trip to Spain.

We’ll start off two traditional Spanish Tapas. The first is roasted asparagus. I’ve had many people tell me that they don’t like asparagus, but once they taste this method, they are the first ones to ask for more. The second is Tostados d’Ajo otherwise known as tomato bread.

After the two tapas, we move on to the main event – Paella. This is the dish most associated with Barcelona and a very traditional dish in the Catalan region. The version we will make includes sausage, chicken and shrimp.

For dessert, we will enjoy Crema Catalana, a vanilla custard with the burnt sugar crust similar to the French Creme Brulee. One difference with this version is that we will make the custard on the stovetop without dealing with a pan of hot water in the oven.

Along with this great food, Annette and the staff at The Wine Cellar have paired wines to go with each dish.
