Let’s celebrate Octoberfest by using beer as our key ingredient for this class.
Beer dates to at least the third century BC with the Egyptians, Babylonians and Sumerians malting barley and wheat to make beer. These techniques for brewing spread throughout the Middle East and Europe resulting in a wide selection of types of beers.
We will start the menu with an Irish Beer Cheese Soup with both an Irish beer and Irish cheddar. Next we will use beer to make bread with an extremely easy but tasty recipe. (Any leftovers make great toast in the morning) We’ll then make Beer Braised Sirloin Tips with a Mushroom Sauce and serve it with Ale Mashers. For dessert, we will make a Chocolate Stout Cake. This class will create a wide range of flavors using beer that you can add to your recipes.
